General Area of Responsibility:

We are looking for detail-oriented Tax Specialist, who is an expert in TAX matters. The individual should be a self-starter and able to work both independently and in teams. Directly reporting locally to Head of Finance Services, with dotted line to Head of Tax, Treasury and Insurance based in HQ.

Specific Area of Responsibility:
  • Controlling the correctness of transactions in global (international) VAT postings and filings
  • Acting as a focal point and providing support on any indirect and direct tax related questions from colleagues and stakeholders
  • Ensuring tax related payments to government / tax authorities are executed as per the timelines in respective countries
  • Working closely with global tax team & Outsourced Service Provider (Big 4) on ongoing tax compliance for all companies located around the globe
  • Ensuring SOX compliant tax controls are up to date and applied in the various tax processes
  • Analyzing and supporting tax strategies by researching federal, state and local taxation issues
  • Assisting during tax audits and litigation by providing relevant information to country tax teams
  • Supporting on mobility tax related tasks such as A1 applications for social security coverage
  • Driving new implementations, supporting automation and process improvements from the perspective of tax requirements
Training and competencies
  • 4 years of tax compliance experience (in principal VAT and CIT, WHT and TP will be an advantage)
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in finance or legal
  • English skills on minimum B2/C1 level
  • Experience and working knowledge in area of direct / indirect tax
  • Certification on international taxation would be an advantage
  • Full professional proficiency of written and oral English required
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, especially MS Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Must be a self-starter with proven ability to take ownership of job responsibilities
